I keep finding out and squashing the reasons my computer ALWAYS wakes up in the wee hours of the morning or late at night and it always finds new reasons to wake itself up, now I'm stumped. Dinastia thorwald online subtitrat indonesia. I've already disabled all the waketimers, I've disabled every device that's able to wake the computer except for the power button which I can't disable, I've set wake on lan to off, and it was all FINE for about a month!

Now it's stubbornly insisting on starting up at around 8:30 pm after I normally leave for work if I'm not delayed. I ran powercfg -lastwake and -waketimers. There are no waketimers like I'd thought. And lastwake only shows Wake History Count - 1. Wake History 0. Wake Source Count - 0.
What is going on? It's Windows 10, that's what it does. You will find all kinds of things in Task Scheduler that check for updates + upload telemetry to Microsoft, and important waketimers cannot be disabled. If you remove the triggers, they will only return again next month after updates are installed. For a bedroom computer Windows 7 is much less likely to wake you up, because the waketimer settings work.None of this is true. All of the processes that you describe happen normally while the computer is asleep.

There are other issues with the OP's PC that needs to be discovered. Make sure you have the setting disabled where moving your mouse can wake it, as with windows 10, literally anything can wake up your pc it seems.
Also Windows 10 will often just wake up your machine for updates/update checks. My recommendation is to do what Wolf had said, and just turn off your monitor power, saves the trouble of dealing with this.Again, as I said earlier, updates and checking for updates normally happen while the computer is asleep. I highly recommend doing what Wolf recommends. As I've stated I've made sure nothing can power on my pc except for the power button, and there are no waketimers, and I've even rooted around in the deeper settings and functions to disable wake on lan and several other things I forget the specifics on.
Update Orchestrator Settings
I always make sure to keep updated and it has never updated me automatically if I can save and do it manually where I can watch it first. I also keep my screen and volume knob off whenever I'm not using it, it doesn't bother me in terms of sound but that it's turning on at all. Asrock 775vm800 drivers windows 7 audio.
Update Orchestrator Wakes My Computer Screen
I have NextPVR 4.0.4 installed on a Windows 10 Pro machine. It seems to be waking the machine at around 07:48 each morning, even though I have the EPG update scheduled for 19:13 (i.e. The evening). My NRecord log is attached (please note that I changed my EPG update time from 02:13 to 19:13 yesterday, but the machine still woke at 07:48 as well as 02:13 yesterday). What Graham posted is the safest bet, however if you want WOL to work so you can connect to the server from a client that won't be a good solution. I suspect that you have the NIC option to wake on pattern match ane netbios or something else from a different PC woke the box.MartinYes that's exactly right - I have the NIC wake option set so that I can use WOL from other devices on the network.I have a bunch of other devices on the network (mainly Intel PCs and Android phones and tablets).
None are explicitly scheduled to do anything at that time in the morning, and certainly none are configured to connect to the HTPC on a scheduled basis. Any idea what sort of network events might inadvertently wake up a NIC? Go into net adapter settings and set wol to magic packet only.at least turn off pattern match cuz it will wake pc when.any.

other pc comes on within network.and that pc looks for network resourcesmagic packet can target the specific computer.it's a rearranged mashup of computer's network card mac addressmagic packet targeting is the way almost all wol utils work.If I set the magic packet only option I find that WOL doesn't work - i.e. If I put the machine into sleep mode, then try to wake it from another Windows 10 machine using the Wake On Lan App, the target PC doesn't wake. I suspect it is NetBIOS Name Resolution, any device that might have your backend server 'hostname' cached could wake it looking for it.Under power management there is a tick to only allow magic packets to wake the machine. Maybe that will help.MartinIt's that 'magic packets only' tick that seems to disable WOL. Untick it and it wakes fine, but also wakes when I don't want it to (which is the problem).I don't think any of my Android devices have the WINS name of my HTPC defined - they all refer to its (static) IP address. Even if they did, none of them would be in use at that time of the morning!
